Spring/Summer 2022 Landscapes

Personal pieces of setting & identity.
"Morning in Brookside Fragrance Gardens"
Full of fragrant floral arrangements, the carefully preserved oasis at Brookside is a truly special composition. Enjoy this cool view on a hot summer day or lounging at home. Vibrant colorful petals slowly reveal themselves in the midst of lush terrain which adorns the stone patio walkway.
"Key Bridge II (Summer)"
Back by popular demand, the architectural symbol of Georgetown makes a cheerful return. In our second painting of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, a warm field of Black-eyed Susans waken a joyous spirit along the waterfront promenade in Washington, DC.
"Sugarloaf in August (East)"
This landscape was completed on an August morning at the peak of the Maryland landmark, Sugarloaf Mountain. The artist was facing East peering over vast forest and farmland. Using a variety of tonal greens and aquas to create the patch-like agricultural pattern, the viewers gaze ends with a light and airy sky blue horizon.

Spring/Summer 2023 Collection

Family-friendly felines!
"Bird in Hand"
The second piece of our Spring/Summer 2023 Collection was completed at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. Inspired by wildlife in the African savannah, this "Serval" is a carnivorous cat with large ears which helps it listen to the hypersonic sounds of it's prey.
This piece illustrates the classic saying, "A bird in hand is better than a bird in a bush." The historic phrase serves as a reminder to cherish what you currently have, and not to risk missing potential success by tying to pursue something else. Here, the artist reflects upon ways gratitude can often be the key to happiness, and that living in the moment is the greatest gift of all.
"3 Tigers"
This scene reveals an exceptional tiger basking in the sun at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, D.C. Painted from life observation, the artist decided to obscure any architectural markers which indicate the tiger's captivity. In doing so, the true nature of the tiger becomes more clear. The piece is painted with quick, assertive marks as the tiger prowled the terrain, perfectly characterizing this majestic creature's behavior. The artist's brush moves with the tiger, leaving energetic traces in various positions throughout the morning.
The beauty of this painting comes from compiling ephemeral snapshots of the animal's activity into a single moment on the canvas. The title, "3 Tigers" is meant to stir the viewers curiosity. While there was only one tiger taking different positions, the third position of the big cat was not visible when it was lying down behind the tree. The artist's message in this masterpiece is that some things can only be perceived from an alternative point of view.
"King's Best Friend"
It’s common practice for important places to display imagery of the lion. The king of the jungle is a symbol of strength, courage, and power. The mighty cat became revered across cultures, and these leadership qualities became closely associated with royalty status. If man’s best friend is a dog, a king’s best friend is the lion…
This piece was inspired by and created after the bronze sculpture, “Seated Lion” by French sculptor, Antoine-Louis Barye (1795-1875) which is now publicly displayed in Baltimore, MD at Mount Vernon Square Park.
Figure Fridays

Dope pieces that stand the test of time.
"Ballin"
There once was a tribe of people who lived in the clouds. Everyone here in this world was born with wings on their backs symbolizing their heritage. The civilization built schools, learned literature, and practiced all sorts of art. Among their favorite past-times was a sport called "basketball", and a tournament was held every year to celebrate their shared passion for the sport.
"Legend of Artifact 003"
This piece depicts a young member of the winged tribe descending to the kings palace to deliver information revealing the discovery of a mysterious archeological sculpture, "Artifact 003". These reports lead to a great expedition by the king who wished to discover who was responsible for it's creation, and how such a relic could be obtained...
"Daydreaming"
“Daydreaming” is a term often used to describe someone who isn’t in the moment. As an artist, I feel like I need to get into a rhythm that takes me somewhere else to make my most successful work. This piece has a lot to do with dreams, transient states of being, and the beauty of zoning-out in our modern age.
"Giving"
This piece perfectly melds generosity & spirituality. By abstracting this famous religious symbol to obscure the figures identity, the gesture of gratitude and kindness shines through in any setting! Taking religious symbols and rendering them in a unique, contemporary style captures a true human touch. Investing in one of our abstract religious paintings is not only a beautiful addition to your space, but serves as a daily reminder of joy and grace!
"Eve"
Taking inspiration from the classic tale, Adam and Eve, the artist reimagines the inception of humanity. Through a critical lens, the artist questions who the first people on earth were, what they may have looked like, and how they viewed reality. Today, this piece is a beacon of self representative story-telling which allows personal narrative and cultural influence to prioritize how we perceive this traditional story.
